Between 2008 and 2012, Eric Coffie played a key role in building two 8(a) small businesses from the ground up, growing them from zero federal contracts to millions in government revenue. Simultaneously, he launched his own construction company, Evankoff, which he scaled from scratch to over $20 million in government sales.
Throughout this journey, Eric recognized how secretive and inaccessible the federal marketplace could be—especially for small businesses. The only support available often came with a hefty price tag or required traveling to conferences and meetings in Washington, D.C.
With the rise of social media, podcasting, and YouTube, Eric saw a better way to bridge the gap—one that would bring valuable knowledge directly to the people who needed it most, without the barrier of cost or geography.
In 2017, fresh off a $5 million contract to renovate the exterior of a hospital at an Air Force base, Eric decided to fund his vision. He began sharing his journey publicly on YouTube.
His approach was simple: provide real, actionable advice—no fluff. He committed to giving away 99.9% of what he knew for free.
The results were modest at first. After a year of content creation, he had 37,306 views, his first 1,000 subscribers, and a newly launched podcast.
Since then, Eric Coffie has dedicated his time to building, training, and advising thousands of small businesses. His guidance has covered everything from navigating contracts, RFPs, and FAR clauses to understanding grants, PPP, EIDL, and more.
His mission is clear: to become the GovCon Giant.
