HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Summary of Position:

The Human Resources Manager will lead the human resources function in developing and implementing HR strategy to create an employee-centric, high performance culture.  The Human Resources Manager is a key part of the leadership with a focus on the on-going development of an exceptional workforce.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • As part of the management team, develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment, selection, and employee onboarding processes
  • Manage and administer benefit programs
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs and develop and implement training programs
  • Coach and counsel managers on maintaining positive employee relations, engagement, and supporting individual development plans
  • Provide timely and accurate HR data and metrics to executives and Board of Advisors
  • Support current and future projects related to resource planning, learning and development, and HRIS
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Manage 1 – 2 direct reports
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field
  • 5+ years of human resources generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or technology firm
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Technology savvy with an affinity for streamlining and automating processes
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Confidence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and HR best practices
